I have explained Coonawarra Cabernet in previous posts, therefore this review is going to be short and to the point.
This wine displays characters of blackcurrant and cedar-wood on the nose; accompanied by hints of aniseed and vanilla.
The palate delivers blackcurrant upfront and finishes dry with a dry mint leaf flavor and lingers onto black pepper.
Definitely not a drink by itself wine. This is one that you drink with food, and it knows it. It delivers all you need for a reasonably priced bottle of wine, displaying non-complex, but distinguishable Cabernet flavors. Try it with lamb loins or chops. Alternatively, something with a bit of fat in the meat. Sausages and pork will suit this wine nicely.
